…and I also wanted to tell you

…that I love, love, love hiking with my husband and son. Today we went deeper and higher into the mountains than we’ve been in a while, along more trepidatious trails than Xander’s ever been on.  He did amazingly well and I was terribly impressed by his maturity and cautiousness without being scared or worried (perhaps because we were not scared or worried) His appreciation for the beauty and importance of it all is astounding to me. We simply have a really, really good time out there and we three  feel better once the rest of the world has fallen away and we’re out there crunching leaves and climbing higher and higher.
