Here is the play.
All of you on the left need to put on the gauzy, crepe funeral black costumes. Wrap the fabric around yourselves loosely. Attach the harness belts. Clip on the wires that will have by that time fallen from the sky. When the organ crescendos you will spin in great big circles, and the men backstage will raise you up to the flies, up to where the owls live and watch our play.
All of you on the right need to put on the gauzy, organza wedding white costumes. Wrap the fabric around yourselves tightly. Float to the ‘x’ that’s upstage in red duct tape. When the orchestra swells its violins the floorboards will fall away and you’ll tumble down to the horseshoe pit, down to where the foxes live and listen to our play.
